I had never heard of a Japanese Chin until one of my coworkers offered me Abby.  She and her sister were purchased out of a basket in Lima, Peru at age 2 weeks.  She's an albino, but her health is excellent, and her disposition, sanguine.  She loves wrestling with our American Eskimo mix, who often lets her win.  I feel very blessed.
